Tilda In The Pink

Hi everyone. It is a cold snowy and rainy day here in the great Nothwest of Oregon.

Time for a hot cup of tea and some card designing.

I am not usually a brown color person in my card making. But in this case I had some wonderful Bittersweet background paper with pink and brown being used.

Tilda is colored with Copic's and flowers are high lited with Flower Soft in Bright Pink.

I used an EK Swirl punch along with Martha Stewart punches for a neat edge design and branchs.

Ribbon bows, heart pearls and Prima Roses add some fun color.

I am still working on my card layouts and having fun trying different settings.

I will enter this new card in the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge   ---  Anything Goes

Magnolia Stamp Lovers   ---  All About Punches

Stampin For The Weekend   ---  Ribbon/Bows, Pearls & Pink

Many thanks for coming by, I wish you all a very fun day designing cards.

Adorable Tilda

Greetings all my dear friends.
I am wishing you all a great week.
Here in the Northwest of Oregon it is sunny and cold.......burr...  they say maybe some snow on this coming Wed. This is good as we need lots of snow in our mountains.

But onto warmer thoughts. I seem to use a few Tilda images more that others.

 This is one I really enjoy using. Tilda with Hawaii Flower. Copic colors E00 E11 R20 R83 E18 E33 B02 B000 B06 E17 Y38 Y35 & YG67

I used orange, teal and cream cs from SU.
This is not a color combo I usually enjoy, but some how it just came about... :-)

Prima Flowers, background paper, beads, butterflies & brad from my stash. Branch punch Martha Stewart.

I am so looking fwd to warmer days. I love going to the beach any time of the year. I live only an hour or so from our Pacific Ocean coast and it is so wonderful to go there.

It is my all  time favorite place to go to. So I am already making beach cards.... how's that for thinking ahead... LOL

Many thanks for coming by. I appreciate your kind encoraging comments.

Have a great day
Blessings, Doreen

No Time To Worry

Worry is a funny thing. It can take you over. I used to worry. I found out it took a lot of my time and energy to worry. It never seemed to help the situation.

I would think how am I going to do this and that, worry -- worry......

Scriptures says " So not to worry about tomorrow, for today will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."  Matthew 6:34

When I was care giving for my parents some years ago .. I did a lot of worrying.

It was through prayer that I finally learned to relax and depend on the Lord for the outcome.

This took some time to practice as it did not come over night.

I turned everything over to the Lord and it was so exciting to see Him lead the way.

It is so nice to pray and not have to worry about all the what ifs in life.

May you all have a blessed day, filled with prayerful thoughts and not to worry.

The Lord loves us and takes care of us.

Blessings, Doreen

Sweet Tilda & Pearls

Greetings everyone. It is raining here in the great Northwest of Oregon and a super excuse to stay in and play with my stamps. I got 3 new Tilda's to play with. I am excited to try them out.

In background papers I tend to shy away from large print designs. I usually enjoy the finer imaged designs. But this flower caught my attention and wanted to use it with my Tilda.

I cut the paper to use this large flower. Then I went from there in my card design.

This is Leaning Tilda from the Fairy Tale collection, colored with Copic pens.

I added a stick pin with beads to my ribbon. Enjoyed using lacy pearls and pearls to the scalloped circle.

I wish you all a very wonderful weekend. Be safe and have fun.

Many thanks for coming by, I appreciate your comments of encouragement. Do join my blog if you haven't yet.

Tilda Great Friends

Good Morning Everyone, today is a great day to smile and enjoy our adventures in creating fun filled cards.
Making cards to send to friends for encouragements is a great way to spend time.

My medical procedures went well, many thanks for your friendships and prayers.

I used Copics to color this sitting Tilda with a flower and she is so cute, it looks like she is admiring her flower.

I used scalloped Nestabilites, SU card stock and fun buttons, butterfly from my stash.
The card design is pretty basic in layout, but I think it is a good one for the large buttons.
I do not use buttons too much and need to use them more as I have tons of buttons...LOL.

Have a grand day everyone and I look fwd to hearing from each of you.

Blessings to all

Tilda Is Thinking Of You

Good morning, wishing you all a great week of stamping and creating.

This week for me is going to be a slow week for creating. I have a colonoscopy Wed. and so for the most part this week will be low key. I am not looking fwd to this test, but know it is a healthy thing to do. Pray for me.

I do have some time today to play in my hobby room. I am going to make me some card kits. I chose the papers and the image and the make the nestie shapes I need. Then later I will make my cards.

I am going to be putting together some guy card kits along with the themes of Birthday.

For today I am sharing with you a Leaning Tilda card Thinking Of You.

I used Copic colors in blues and rose shades. Nestie oval and scalloped oval.
Cuttlebug dotted Swiss and flowers from my stash.

It is more of a basic card in design, but I enjoyed the colors. And I love to use flowers on my cards.

Many thanks for stopping by and joining my blog.

Your comments mean a lot to me, thanks for the encouragements.

Blessings of Strength

Greetings everyone,

I wanted to share with you that I have been blessed in learning to lean on my Heavenly Father for His strength to get me through all kinds of challenges.

When I was a care giver for my dear husband, now with the Lord. I would face many challenges, his health care, our home, finances and many more. Many days I would awake wondering if I would have the strength to do all that was before me.

This verse took on a new meaning to me, as I continued to repeat it many times a day.

"I can do all things all things through Him who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13

Key words = all things.

His strength continues to still give me energy for new challenges I face.

The Greek word for strength means to put power in. That is indeed true, God will put power into you to make it through any situation.

Have a blessed day reflecting on this verse and enjoy the wonderful strength we have from our Heavenly Father.

Blessings, Doreen

Sitting Sweet Tilda

Hi everyone, well it is suppose to be rainy and windy this weekend. So a great time to stay in and pop a movie in my TV player and make some cards.

I have finished my hobby room for now and have all my card making items organized into color groupings. Wow what a job that was.

Now to clean the room and organize the shelves. Always something to do to keep things in order....;-D

This card is more on the basic simple side. I love this Tilda sitting and enjoying her day Thinking of You. I love her little apron and the scarf on her head.

I used Copic colors, K&Company flowers, Oval and Scalloped Oval from my Nestie collection. Ribbon and lace from my stash.

I think the next set of cards I make will be using the theme of Birthday. I have a few birthdays coming in our family and also need some extra cards to have on hand.

Have a great weekend everyone and be safe. Have fun designing your cards.

Tilda Picking Flowers

For me gardening is fun to do. I miss it now living in an apartment. All my life I grew up around veggie and flower gardens. It  just became part of what we did each spring and summer.
I love this Tilda and she is so cute with the side profile image.

Tilda Shabby & Chic

This was a big challenge for me, I must have spent hours designing and re designing till I finally decided on this card layout for the Vintage & Shabby Chic challenge. How did I do?

I am entering this card into Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge   .... VINTAGE & SHABBY CHIC

I love this Tilda with flower image as she can be used  in a card that is all dressed up or can take on a casual look. I enjoyed using my Copics and some lace, ribbons & flowers from my stash.

I am still working on re organizing my card making supplies. I am excited on how it is all coming out.
It has become quite the project, but will be so nice once all done.
I should have been organizing into color groups along time ago.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and some fun card designing.

Many thanks for coming by and joining my blog.

Consider Yourself Hugged-Tilda

This is a wonderful Tilda image to use in so many themes.
Today Tilda is sending you big hugs and smiles.

I enjoyed using Copic pens and many items from my stash.

I have been re organizing my stamping area, and have divided all my enhancement supplies into color groupings. I had one plastic tub that I just put everything into, but it was way too full. I found some neat small plastic containers with snap on lids and it is so nice to put my flowers, beads, bows and items all of the same color family in them.
I will be doing the same with my card stock, I was just putting all the small pieces into a plastic tub but going to separate into color groups and put into plastic zip bags.

Many thanks for coming by to say hi and joining my blog. I so enjoy visiting your blogs and seeing all the wonderful cards you all design.

Take care and happy stamping.

Bright Red & Pinks Tilda

It is always fun to use the hearts, and shades of reds and pinks in our February cards.
Using Copics E11, E00, R20, R83, E33, E18, R24 & R26
Nestie back lace design and Prima flowers with heart beads and bow on sparkly ribbon.

I love chocolate and this month all the yummy chocolate candies are being featured in our stores.
Making this card was reminding me of the yummy candies my husband used to bring me. He went to Heaven 3 yrs. ago, so now my son brings me goodies.

I do not usually combine reds with pinks but they do give a great color combination for a very happy bright card. I am enjoying seeing all your great cards and all the wonderful embellishments you use.
Have a great week and enjoy your stamping and designing times.

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

Fun With Friends

Everythings More Fun With Friends is one of my favorite sentiment stamps, I use it often.
I need to find more sentiment stamps to invest in to use on my cards.

This card is on the simple side but yet it is pretty with the pinks and rose shades.

Tilda With Flowers from the Chasing Butterflies Collection is a wonderful image to use in all kinds of card themes. She is just toooo cute !!!

I tend to love the pink and rose shades as my favorite, so I am working on trying other color combinations for my card designs.
I have fun using my Copic pens for shading and enhancing the colors.

Many thanks for coming by to view my cards, and your sweet comments, they encourage me a lot.
I enjoy seeing your blogs too, so many talented card designers. Your all the best !!!

Hearts Delight

Greetings everyone. This is a great day to design a fun card. Join me with a cup of tea and we will stamp together even if over the internet.

Even though this is Christmas Eve Tilda, I thought the image could be used for any gift giving event.
Papers are from K&Company. Prima roses are so much fun to use. Copic pens are used and also pink pearls. This card is more on the simple side, I enjoyed adding the heart charm to give it a tender look.

I must say my stash does not have a lot of the elegant enhancements many of you use. Your cards all look so fabulous. I need to keep practicing and see how I can improve on my presentation of the card design. I am still learning. Your all an inspiration to me. So much talent.

Have a great weekend and be safe.
Big Friendship Hugs
